Sutton United has the most positive football fans, according to X (formerly known as Twitter).

New research reveals Sutton United has the happiest and most positive football fans of all other English clubs.  

BoyleSports, a gambling company, analysed 8.5 million tweets during the 2022-23 season from fans across the English football league to find League One and Two fans are more positive than Premier League and Championship football fans.

Sutton United finished in the middle of the table, but they had the most positive fans.

34 per cent of all tweets about them were positive.

Sutton United beat all other teams across League One, League Two, the Premier League and Championship. 

Leyton Orient fans came in second place with 34 per cent of their tweets being positive.

After winning 26 out of 46 league games, the positivity is almost expected.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s takeover of Wrexham has proven to drive positive results, and positive fans, sitting in third position, with 33 per cent of tweets being positive.   

Overall, League One was the most positive league, closely followed by League Two, the Premier League and Championship.
