Hercules Wimbledon's top women's marathon runner, Claire Grima, lifted two Surrey titles in one go when she competed in the Wimbledon Dash 5km road race at Wimbledon Park on Sunday.

The race incorporated the Surrey championships and Grima, cheered by husband Dave and young sons Luca and Jasper, crossed the line in 18 minutes 14 seconds to take the Surrey senior and veteran women's gold medals.

Top Hercules Wimbledon finisher among the 250 runners was steeplechaser Rob Tuer, who finished 12th in 16:51.

Over-40 veteran Peter Collins was 33rd in 17:44, just one second ahead of clubmate James Moorcroft.

One of the oldest runners in the race was 70-year-old Peter Giles who was 127th in 20:39.

Hercules Wimbledon runners filled two of the first there places in the Wimbledon Common parkrun on Saturday.

Milan Misak headed home the 314-strong field in a personal best of 17:38 with clubmate James Moorcroft third in 17:50.

Charles Hampden-Smith was top veterans over-50 finisher in 19:26.

Misak sliced 16 seconds off his previous best time in securing his first win in 46 appearances in the Wimbledon Common event.

Over-45 veteran Lisa Thomas made it a Hercules Wimbledon double by taking the women's race in 19:36, the day's top age-graded performance.

In Oxfordshire, Hercules Wimbledon's Jonathan Cornish, made it a hat-trick of parkrun winners for Hercules Wimbledon won for the second week at Abingdon in 16:24, the top age-graded performance.

This weekend, Hercules Wimbledon's youngsters are competing in the second of the South London Athletics Network Super Eight U13 and U15 League meetings at the David Weir Leisure Centre, Carshalton, on Sunday, starting at 10am.
