This weekend marks three weeks since the season finished and despite a lot of rumour there has been precious little movement on the transfer front at Palace.

It is still early days of course and it's possible Warnock has snapped up a few bargains already and is yet to make them public, but it would be nice to get something confirmed just to allay a few fears beginning to surface among Eagles fans.

Warnock is adamant that strikers are his priority and I think everyone involved would agree with that.

Of the current squad there is only Alan Lee, who looks on his way out, Shefki Kuqi, who has yet to agree to a new contract, and Calvin Andrew, who is probably out injured until Christmas, left as recognised strikers with experience, so you can see how urgent our need is.

The most recent name linked with the club is West Ham's Freddy Sears, which would be a good addition given he is a keen young pup eager to make an impression and gain some experience.

Wes Hoolahan is another possibility after Norwich's relegation to League One and a player Warnock was after 12 months ago.

Ex-eagle Dele Adebola is also available on a free and could provide some valuable experience, but he turns 34 next month and you have to ask whether his legs have gone.

One player constantly linked with the Eagles since Warnock's arrival has been Sheffield United's Danny Webber, who looks set to get released whether the Blades go up or not.

It will be a shock if he didn't come to Palace but with a record of 47 goals in 213 career appearances (he has only scored more than 10 goals in a season once), you have got to question whether he will be the Clinton Morrison-esque goalpoacher we need.

Warnock says he wants three players, preferably strikers, in by June 1 which is exciting and although ti has been a slow start, I reckon the revolving door at Palace could be used a great deal over the course of the next month.
