I've finally managed to find myself a way to protect my iPod without making it look like real tacky - as I'm assured it did in its previous white leather sweat-suit.

I'm somewhat of a sucker for accessories. In my immediate family only my mum and I have jewellery boxes.

The trinkets aren't ever expensive but I found it satisfying to splash out on a bracelet if I don't have the cash to flash for a new outfit.

In any case the accessory desire has spread to my iPod, which I have bonded with on many levels, mostly drunken, at 3am and on a dreary night bus ride back to Croydon from Soho, that's the N69 if you are wondering.

Here's the one I found:

You can pick it up here:iPod World

I like it because it's the first one I've seen, in many hours of fruitless shopping, that happily protects the iPod's screen.

It made listening to my favourite song of the moment, Books from Boxes - by Maximo Park, all the more pleasurable. Well a little bit more pleasurable because the moment in mind was spent waiting for the 93 bus from North Cheam to Morden.

That bus is one of my arch rivals. Made worse this Tuesday evening because I'd come dressed for summer and walked out into spring.

In any case I came home eventually and went out for my usual round Croydon run. I have to say going running at around 9pm has its advantages - there's so much less traffic for me to dodge, although the traffic I am dodging has much less chance of seeing me. We all suffer for our art.

I'm getting less out of my running playlist. I've been through everything I've owned to select those fundamental few songs that can keep the blood pumping. Remarkably a good portion come from the slightly more decent side of manufactured pop, Girls Aloud.

I know what you thinking, suave has well and truly left this blog. Well I think when you’re naming bus routes in a blog you're likely to have left suave all alone with a broken leg a long way back.

My cool credentials not withstanding I'm hoping that someone might be able to suggest a few of their favourite jogging or working-out tunes so I can add them to my playlist henceforth through the wonder that is iTunes. Or iTunes and a broadband - man dial-up was killing me.

Just use the comment feature to let me have your suggestions.
